$75 Chemical Shipping Fees
We’ve received questions regarding the $75 chemical shipping fee that appears on certain recent orders.
To clarify, this fee is being charged by the shipping carriers due to regulations and handling requirements associated with transporting chemicals. This is not a fee imposed by Choice or by our approved vendors.
Shipping companies assess hazardous materials surcharges when chemicals are shipped through standard parcel carriers. These charges are outside of vendor and Choice control and are applied directly by the carrier.
If your property would like to avoid these shipping fees, you may place chemical orders directly through Ecolab. Ordering direct allows Ecolab to deliver products through their distribution network rather than parcel carriers, which eliminates the hazardous shipping surcharge.
